It seems as if the GM's are unable to do much to stop the spread of ISK farmers and mining macros that plague EVE.
That's where Macrointel comes in.
Macrointel has been opened to the public and is now looking to recruit players to help fight off the vast numbers of farmers that are let to run wild in New Eden.
Some info:
*Macrointel is part of UCAM alliance- United Corporations Against Macros, a non-political organization with no "home base" that provides service support for players to annoy the hell out of people who play the game to make money. Being non-political, we wish to remain policy-neutral to other alliances and have no territorial aspirations. We are 99% corporate and consist of mature, casual players in all skill ranges. Lower SP players are welcome, but we tend to utilize tactics that higher SP players may better make use of.
*I can't promise we can make you rich ISK-wise, but we do alright. A typical farmer-annoyance op brings in about 40 mil on a decent day, with most days being "decent days". Should they open fire (as they sometimes do), you get some free pew pew and most likely officer/faction fitted kill. All players must be self-reliant when it comes to making ISK.
*Near-daily ops into systems being farmed by RMT. For months, Macrointel has been chasing ISK farmers and have found some of their favorite mission hangouts. While we can't boot them from the game, the constant badgering by real players puts a huge dent in their wallet and some change in yours.
*What we do is nearly-griefing. If you don't have the stomach for day-in, day-out bullying please don't apply. We have policies in place barring UCAM members from hunting legitimate players and do not condone piracy as corporate policy.
With that being said, if you're a mature person and a casual player looking to make a few isk and help the community, drop by the Wiyrkomi station in Oichiya to apply!
Please evemail me with questions.

*Just want to point out that PHPR and Mongwen need to get all the credit when talking about UCAM as a whole, and MI is only part of that alliance. :)
But we violence boats as much as possible. I thought of MI as more the politically-neutral-but-still-really-violent wing of the group when I opened the corp :)
We don't care about your regional lines, we just hate farmers.

You should reconsider this one. Nobody in their right mind would turn outlaw *just* to kill farmers in lowsec. And that's not something you can avoid when you kill several bestowers per minute. Highsec trickery is nice , but if you seek to disrupt lowsec macro haulers , you have to camp them into submission - which takes a team of experienced pirates.
I don't see how piracy can get your corp into trouble. Just give blue standings to whoever supports your efforts.
The devil's in the details--- We don't "condone piracy as corporate policy" simply means that it's not something we promote.
I simply mean that we try not to violence or steal from *legit* players in *hi-sec*. It just makes that politically neutral stance a little harder. Low-sec is any man's game, but we prefer to hunt farmers rather than real players. IE. If you see me in low sec, I/we -probably- won't shoot at you, but it's not out of the realm of possibility.
Does that clear that up? :)

Originally by: Paddlefoot Aeon While I'm not looking to leave my current alliance/corp, I would like to offer these guys a free bump for their dedication in cleaning up EVE.
For those space-holding alliances who have MACRO-RATTER infestations, I recommend that you consider allowing these guys access to your space, both to shoot the macro ratters and to get their sec status up from ganking the macro'ers in empire/lowsec.
I also recommend posting about your service in CAOD, and perhaps getting yourself some contracts.
Thank you! If I had a better way to get my sec back up, I'd be big suiciding much more often :)
I've been trying to come up with a plan for NAP's with regional groups, but it's difficult to work it all out.
We are totally willing to do contracts.

Originally by: Ariad Valens Can you please elaborate on what you mean by 'ISK Farmers'? And macros? Do you mean there are automated applications piloting ships that conduct mining operations?
Many EVE characters are online 23/7 and simply farm missions to transfer their isk to another account to be sold for RMT. Account sharing and RMT is against TOS. I feel no guilt, grief, terminal remorse or otherwise to ruin their in-game lives as my play style. They come in many flavors--- Mission farming ravens with gibberish names and basic skills, groups of ice miners + a hauler, groups of ore miners + a hauler. See: Amarr Rose, Amarr Wind, Cusdecor, Hi Bi, anyone with XLQR, STOMP, or Goedda followed by a number. We attack these people daily and most of us keep lists upon lists of names.
Macros are scripted, repetitive programs or modules for programs that can do the same action over and over, all day long. If you have a "really good" mining macro, you can set it to mine uninterrupted all day long. Most of these characters are alts of players and are used to bring in some extra cash. This ISK is usually not sold for RMT. These guys usually pilot mining cruisers, barges, or afk mining haulers by themselves. See: Boralot, Trucette Vonheise, Gregorski, Gooole men, most of Team Euro. We usually don't target them (as there's usually no player behind the wheel), but it's not out of the scope.
There are many corporations in the game that farm missions to make their PLAYERS wealthy. These players are NOT targetted by UCAM or MI. (See: most corps)
Protector groups are included. We attack and/or suicide people protecting known groups of farmers (See: edadd, Amarr Wind) |

Keep on killin` them macro`s.
Actually- we rat enough that our sec status stays somewhat manageable. I went from -2 to -1 or something in no time.
Last night, I made an easy 20 million in kills and another 20-30 in loot/salvage by stealing a farmer mission. I solo'd in and they didn't even bother with me. I went straight for the transports, stole their mission item, tried to sell it back to them, and they left.
\o/ Win.

edit: Arg, damn alt. Speaking of, maybe I'll join up with you guys with my fighter alt in training. She's a minnie in a Rifter at the moment.
That's always cool. I've got an Achura training up as a fighter with the Achura Female super learning skills. In a kestrel at the moment.
The more eyes we have, the better. Like I said, I'm also looking for people to cover channel ops.

You are assuming suicide is the only method. In reality if you drive farmers crazy enuf they want to kill you so they can get back to farming. This means legal high sec pvp!
They are pretty unconventional, too. It's not really the same kind of pvp you'd find in 0.0 or lowsec.
'gonna post the youtube link in a bit :)

Interesting. Sounds like something I could even do in high-sec to harass farmers without taking a security hit? Just zoom in, steal the mission item, and zoom out again?
Yes we do this all day long among other things.
So wait--- does this mean we're farming the farmers?
I think of it more like pimping them. ***** better have my money.

Originally by: Jason Travers Why dont you try asking the person mining if they are a macro? because a macro is actually a computer program it wont answer you back. I am also a 2boxer. that means I use 2 accounts when I mine. I have my hulk/Ore bardge and my hauler. this doesnt make me a macro or an isk farmer. In fact I'm an independant and I like to build and sell as well as run a few missions from time to time. So just for the corps that hunt macro/isk farmers, more power to you but is you see my toons out there and they all have the last name of "travers" please let me be. I play this game for relaxation. And soon (few Months)I'll be running a third account for security ship (mostly missions and such).
Jason- You have a good point, but please understand we don't just fly on up to random people and grief them. We do have a fairly good system of identifying farmers, including massive lists we've compiled. WHen I bump into someone questionable, I usually go through a rather long checklist that involves lots of them swearing at me, waiting around, etc. Usually, miners aren't a target, especially if they are in a corp and come across as doing a corp op. I usually leave most miners alone as it's really just easier that way.

good thing u posted this....cynos had just gone up to bring in the titans on your hauler
Maybe if I could find my Thanatos, Snake can cyno it into highsec with T20's dev magic and we can rep the carrier until he drops his 200k worth of cargo.
No wait, I'll call Miz to set us up the bomb.

Meridiana has been promoted to Operations Lieutenant, and Pete to Operations Commander.
They will be able to answer most questions about MacroIntel if I'm not around.
